家電図滝はビールサーバー Waterfall like a beer server

葛飾北斎の「諸国滝廻り相州大山ろうべんの滝」から着想した絵画で、本来は大山寺に参詣する人々が滝で水垢離(みずごり)を行い心身を清めている場面を描いた浮世絵ですが、この作品では、遥々山奥まで営業周りに来た会社員の男性(画面左下端)は仕事の疲れからくる酒欲なのか、その滝の水行の様子を巨大なサーバーから注がれるビールに、宿坊でもある「藤の坊」のちょうちんを居酒屋の赤提灯(画面右下)に見間違えている様子として、浮世絵の中の水垢離する清らかな人々と現代の欲を断てない男性とを対照的に、滝の水の清涼感とビールの爽快感との涼やかなイメージを重ねて描いています。

Profile

画家。
武蔵野美術大学造形学部油絵学科入学、三年次転学科を経て映像学科アニメーション専攻卒業。浮世絵に影響を受け、現代人に消費されゆく家電製品や飲食物をユーモアや風刺を込めて描いた「家電図」を中心に、日本やアジアの画廊や美術館、アートフェア等で現代アートの絵画作品を発表。ホテル内装用、音楽CDや書籍の装丁画等も受注制作している。

Profile

Painter. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Faculty of Art and Design
Influenced by ukiyo-e, I create contemporary art paintings, primarily centered around "household appliance illustrations," which humorously and satirically depict consumer electronics and food consumed by modern people. I exhibit my art works at galleries, art museums and art fairs around Japan and ASEAN. I also undertake commissioned work for hotel interiors, cover art of music CDs and books.
